May none of you have to worry about
a flat tire! But if you do have one,
it's best if we look at what has to
be done. First, make sure you have a
good spare tire. Second, make sure
you have a jack and lug nut wrench in
your car. Check wherever your jack
is stored for instructions on where
to place the jack. Usually there is
a sticker posted somewhere near the
jack storage. Find it. You will
need to know where the jack goes to
pick up your car. Try it out now

while you're not panicky. Check to
see if you can get the wheel nuts
loose. This is important . . . some
shops put these on with air wrenches
and are nearly impossible to loosen.
If you can't loosen them, get someone
with a larger wrench to loosen them
and pull them back up snug. If you
are out in the middle of nowhere it
is a bad time to look for help. Now
place your jack in the proper place
and jack up the car enough to lift
the wheel off the ground.
